IFA Wartburg was a Swedish band founded by Heinz Klinger and Rolf Kempinski. The name stems from the East German car of the same name. The lyrics – sung in German – were about the socialist era of East Germany and the USSR. Their music was eclectic, ranging from bossa nova (''Frau Gorbacheva tanz Bossanova''), pop/ska (''FDJ''), to jazz and swing (''Spassjazz'')). They toured Germany and Switzerland in 1998, attracting the attention of the German media.〔() German TV reportage from the autumn of 1998.
